ROTTERDAM, 9 th May, 2019. HES International B.V. is pleased to announce that Coen Janssen has been appointed as General Manager of HES Botlek Tank Terminal B.V., effective as per 1st May 2019. Mr Janssen succeeds Mr Charles Smissaert, who led the company as from 2009 and will now completely focus on the development of the HES Hartel Tank Terminal.
Mr. Coen Janssen (41) is graduated as Chemical Technologist. He has extensive international experience and has successfully held senior positions at several tank storage companies and refineries. As from 2017 he was General Manager of Maastank B.V. in the Port of Rotterdam. In his new role as General Manager of HES Botlek Tank Terminal (HBTT) he will also be responsible for the adjacent HES Botlek Tank Terminal Bitumen location.
Mr Charles Smissaert joined HBTT as General Manager in 2009. In this responsibility he and his team worked on the successful transformation of the dry bulk terminal Maassilo B.V. to the liquid Bulk terminal HES Botlek Tank Terminal including the doubling of storage capacity to 510,000 cbm. Mr Smissaert will now fully focus on the development of a new tank storage facility that HES International develops on the Maasvlakte, in the Port of Rotterdam. This HES Hartel Tank Terminal will offer 1,3 M cbm storage capacity for clean petroleum products and will be operational as from Q3 2021.
