Bulk in motionBulk for life.
The energy in your wall socket. The steel in your car. The grain in your bread. Before it reached you, it moved as bulk through terminals like ours. Today we handle 100 million tonnes a year. Tomorrow, the same jetties will also carry Europe's CO₂, hydrogen and e-fuels.

Deliver on excellence
Over 100 million tonnes of dry and liquid bulk move through our deepwater terminals every year. Safety comes first and operational excellence keeps this engine reliable. It's the proven foundation that funds everything ahead.

Develop a sustainable operating model
Hydrogen, ammonia and e-fuels scale on infrastructure that already works. By developing these new energies, we contribute directly to our clients' decarbonization. Building a sustainable, future-ready organization on the very assets HES was converting all along.

Where HES is going
We convert the terminals Europe already relies on.
We turn working deepwater terminals into gateways for what comes next: CO₂, hydrogen and cleaner fuels, on the same quays that move today's bulk. That's our edge in the energy transition; proven infrastructure, existing client relationships and jetties that are already permitted, connected and operating.
Explore New EnergiesThe infrastructure that makes this credible.
Seven terminals across four countries, one connected European network of deepwater quays, jetties, tanks and rail and barge links. Together they move today's commodities and power tomorrow's transition. Explore the map below to see where we operate and what moves through each location.
What we handle.
We move the raw materials that keep Europe running: coal and ore for power and steel, agribulk for food, fuels for industry. It's a role we're proud of, and one that matters. These volumes also what fund our projects of tomorrow.

Dry bulk
Thermal and coking coal, iron ore, alumina, agribulk and minerals. The raw materials behind Europe's steel, power and food.
- >>
Liquid bulk
Fossil fuels (gasoil, naphtha, fuel oil) alongside biofuels and SAF feedstocks. The fuels moving today and the cleaner ones replacing them.

The growth direction
Biomass, biofuels, SAF and critical minerals are where the volume is heading. The same terminals, carrying what comes next.
Everyone who enters our terminals goes home safely.
That single promise is the ground the bridge stands on. Everything that follows is how we hold it; the same standard at every terminal, every shift.

Keeping it moving.
It's 1,450 people across four countries; the crews who run our terminals every night, the engineers converting them for what's next, and the teams in the office making sure it all comes together.

Terminal crew & technical
The people on the jetties and in the control rooms, keeping liquid, dry and break bulk moving across the network, day and night.

Engineers & New Energies teams
The people turning the five-stream portfolio into steel. CCS, hydrogen carriers and the terminals that come next.
